More of my loves

Hey friend! I'm an Aggie alum who loves pretty details, the small-town lifestyle, coffee shops, and jamming to country music. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and without His love and guidance, I would not be where I am today. While I have a wide range of photo experience, I specialize in natural light portraits, branding, and agricultural photography. Capturing imagery is my passion and joy, and I consider it a privilege to document my clients' unique stories.

I picked up a point-and-shoot camera in middle school and was captivated by the art of photography. With plenty of inspiration and subjects on our family's cattle ranch, my younger years consisted of many hours outside capturing nature and learning the craft. Word spread in my hometown that I took pictures, and I began to take portraits for friends and family throughout high school.

As a college student at Texas A&M University, I had the opportunity to take a photojournalism course under the instruction of Dr. Tobin Redwine. This class taught me the principles of photography, helped me grow my portfolio, and expand my skills. Eventually, I served as a teaching assistant for the course, getting to share my love of imagery and expertise with fellow Aggies. I am very grateful AGCJ 308 as it encouraged me to officially establish Ivy McCay Images.

Ivy McCay Images became my official side-hustle as I completed my undergraduate and master's degrees at Texas A&M.

Quite a bit has changed since I started snapping a shutter in 2010, but one thing will always remain the same: photography is so much more to me than just a pretty photo for "the gram". It is powerful. It is timeless. It is storytelling. Every click is documenting memories that generations to come will cherish.

And that is where I find my passion, friends.

TODAY

The moment I picked up a point-and-shoot camera in middle school, I was captivated by the art of photography. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward.
You are serving the Lord Christ."
